Can I Have My Event Listed Here?
If you are hosting an event similar to what is described on the What is a Shindig? page I would love to hear about it and list it here! Listing your event here has several advantages over the typical Facebook event or email mailing list:
- Since the information is public, those without Facebook accounts can still access the information.
- The website is usually always running so people can access the information at any time and on any device.
- Hopefully this site will generate more publicity for your shindig and result in more people attending.
The website is public so any information displayed is visible to everyone. Sensitive information is not displayed (see below).
Details that will NOT be displayed on the website:
- Phone number
- Email (unless you would prefer to share your email address)
- Street address
Details that will be displayed on the website:
- Name of the event
- date
- location
- approximate cost
- lodging details
- way of getting more information about the event (link to Facebook event or group, email address, third party website, etc…)
- Any other details you would like me to share!
